specialist surveys - asbestos
As a member of the British Wood Preserving and Damp Proofing Association,
it is a requirement that a percentage of a company’s surveyors
attain to the status of Certificated Surveyor for Remedial Treatment
(C.S.R.T). This involves examinations in Damp Proofing, Timber Preservation
and Health and Safety. The successful surveyors are then entitled
to display the C.S.R.T. initials after their name.
The company has been heavily involved with the installation of
remedial wall ties. Particularly with local authority developments.
Our surveyors are certificated by ANCON for survey and installation
of these ties. Surveys can involve bore scope investigation, pull
testing, masonry and original tie sampling.
Our most recent addition to the survey side of the company is survey
and bulk sampling of Asbestos. (Asbestos Containing Materials) ACM’s
surveyors successfully completed exams run by (British Occupational
Hygiene Society) B.O.H.S in January 2005. Our surveys and reports
allow people who are responsible for asbestos awareness, wherever
it be, in a company of home owner to form a register of ACM’s
and make the decision to manage or remove this material.
delapidation surveys
We have been employed by DCC to carry out surveys on a large number
of their properties to identify conditions of
- kitchens
- bathrooms
- type of heating
- number of electrical points
- general condition of houses which allows them to plan for upgrading
of their housing stock.
These type of surveys have also been useful for the private landlord
carried on an annual basis it helps the landlord to minimise complaints.
